Mahaica Point Media Inc.

Formed in 2020 by Andy Marshall, Mahaica Point Media Inc. is a production company focused on producing inspirational and aspirational works of art in film and television.  Based in Toronto, MPM has several film and television projects in various stages of development.

The name Mahaica Point pays homage to Andy’s early years.  Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Andy’s family lived in the peaceful neighborhood of Mahaica, in the bustling southern town of Point Fortin.  A cultural hotspot, Point Fortin has produced important calypsonians and hosts a popular week-long festival called Borough Week.

Producer/Actor/Writer

Andy Marshall is a producer, actor and writer based in Toronto.  He studied at York University (BA – Music; MFA – Theatre) and the Canadian Film Centre (Producers Lab).  He is passionate about telling unique stories, often from underrepresented communities.  He produced the feature film A Tribe Called Love, written and directed by Somali-Canadian Mohamed Ahmed.  He also co-created the one-hour drama Soul (Vision TV) with his sister Abi Marshall.  He has several projects currently in development as a producer, and is joyfully acting in various projects as well.
